Custom development
Custom modules for Formation Assistant
When a diocese needs a workflow that isn’t in the product yet, we can build a focused module—shaped to real formation practice, not generic software checklists.
How it works
Built with ministry, then shared with the Church
Custom module development extends Formation Assistant for diocesan needs—new role workflows, reporting, evaluation paths, or program-specific tools that help formators spend less time on paperwork and more time accompanying candidates.
We treat each engagement as partnership: listen first, design for pastoral reality, then deliver something your team can actually use.
Pilot & pricing
Clear expectations from the start
Pilot programs
Complimentary during pilot
For active pilot dioceses—including our pilot program in Houston—we develop agreed custom modules at no charge while we refine Formation Assistant together in real ministry settings.
After pilot
Custom work at a cost
Future custom module development outside of an active complimentary pilot arrangement is provided as a paid professional service. Scope, timeline, and pricing are agreed before work begins.
Rights
SCN marketing rights
After development, Spiritual Compass Navigators retains the rights to market, include, and offer the completed work as part of Formation Assistant (or related products) for other dioceses and ministries—so the wider Church can benefit from what one diocese helped shape.
What this means
Your diocese gets the tool; the Church can gain the fruit
- You receive a module built for your formation program’s stated needs, with training and support appropriate to the engagement.
- SCN may offer the same or adapted capability to other dioceses—often with refinements learned from multiple programs.
- Confidential pastoral data from your diocese remains yours; marketing rights cover the software capability and product packaging, not your candidates’ information.
If a diocese needs work that must remain exclusive or private, that can be discussed as a separate agreement before development starts.
