Every vocation begins by listening for God’s voice.
Throughout my ministry, I have seen that the greatest challenge in formation is not finding faithful people—it is giving them the time, guidance, and support they need to discern God’s call. I have also seen the tremendous dedication of priests, deacons, formators, parish observers, and ministry leaders who faithfully accompany others while balancing countless administrative responsibilities.
That experience inspired the creation of Spiritual Compass Navigators.
I was ordained a permanent deacon in 2023 for the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana and currently serve at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist in Fishers, Indiana. In addition to parish ministry, I have served as an Associate Formation Director and Director of Homebound Ministries, working alongside aspirants, candidates, parish observers, and formation teams through the human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral dimensions of formation.
My vocation is complemented by nearly three decades of professional software development experience. Since 1996, I have designed and led the development of enterprise software for organizations that require security, reliability, and thoughtful user experiences. Bringing those two callings together has allowed me to create technology specifically designed for the unique needs of ministry.
I believe technology should never replace personal accompaniment. Instead, it should remove unnecessary administrative burdens so pastors, deacons, formators, and ministry leaders can spend more time doing what only they can do: walking with people, listening to them, encouraging them, and helping them respond to God’s call.
That philosophy guides every application developed by Spiritual Compass Navigators. Whether supporting diaconate formation, parish ministries, volunteer coordination, or Catholic education, each solution is designed to be practical, faithful to the mission of the Church, and respectful of the pastoral processes already in place.
While our primary mission is to serve the Catholic Church, we welcome opportunities to support Christian ministries of every denomination that seek to accompany people in faith through thoughtful, mission-focused technology.
Our goal is simple: build software that strengthens ministry, supports those who serve, and helps people grow closer to Christ.
When I’m not developing software or serving in ministry, I enjoy cycling, studying Scripture, and continuing to learn Spanish for ministry.
